Warrnambool mill ready for next stage of transformation
PLUSH apartments overlooking Lake Pertobe and shops will feature in the next stage of a multi million dollar transformation of the former Warrnambool Woollen Mill site into a residential showpiece.
Several of the new buildings will incorporate historic sandstone walls from the mill,toms shoes sale, which was built more than 100 years ago and closed in the 1990s.
City council approval last week for an updated development plan at the Harris Street site also incorporates scope for retailing,mulberry bags, tourism and a community archives centre.
Work on transforming the rundown mill site with up to 133 houses and units was started two years ago by Parish Lakes Pty Ltd which bought the complex from Warrnambool City Council,mulberry outlet.
